Inspired by my friend Jayne’s hand-lettered ‘ll’ ligature, I created this experimental variable typeface for my personal name lettering. Named BonBon, the typeface ranges from ultra-curvy to rigid and structured, exploring dynamic contrasts in form.

Some cool things made with Touch Designer

AlaÏn is inspired by the fashion brand ALAÏA.
ALAÏA is a luxury fashion brand founded by Tunisian designer Azzedine Alaïa, renowned for its sculptural, body-hugging silhouettes that celebrate the female form. The brand gained fame for its meticulous craftsmanship and innovative use of materials, creating timeless, elegant designs that blend sophistication with sensuality.

This typeface is inspired by my firsthand experience of walking around the block between 6th and 7th Avenue, and 20th and 21st Street. I designed a blocky typeface, using each side to reflect the density of people as perceived through my own subjective experience.
