Judd Foundation

Brand Identity, Type Design, Motion Design

Instructor: Andrea Trabucco-Campos
School of Visual Arts, 2025

The Judd Foundation maintains and preserves Donald Judd’s permanently installed living and working spaces, libraries, and archives in New York and Marfa, Texas. For this project, I aimed to rebrand the foundation with three core pillars inspired by Judd’s philosophy: Repetition, Seriality, and Precision, incorporating subtle and understated details. With this in mind, I developed a cohesive brand identity, featuring a custom-modified typeface and a structured grid system to reinforce the visual language.

As Judd stated in multiple interviews, his work was about what is actually there—the form, the space it occupies, and its interaction with its surroundings. His minimalism was not about reduction for its own sake but about creating works that were precise, autonomous, and self-sufficient.
